We have partner schools overseas in the United States, France and Australia.

Through online exchange with these schools, students enjoy various opportunities to learn different cultures, as well as foreign language.

2024年12月17日、韓国競馬畜産高校から教職員の皆様をお迎えし、本校の視察をしていただきました。

今回の訪問を機会に互いに良い関係を作づくりができることを期待し、様々な情報交換を行いました。

On December 17, 2024, we had teachers and staff members from the Korea Horseman High School.

Hoping that this visit would be the beginning of a good relationship with each other, we discussed possible educational cooperation and exchanges.

2024年11月28日（木）韓国競馬畜産高校・オーストラリアのジェームス・ルース農業高校との国際交流授業を行いました。今回は静農３１名、オーストラリア２７名、韓国７名の合計６５名の高校生が参加しました。

各校から英語でそれぞれの国の保存食（発酵食品）についてのプレゼンテーションと質疑応答しました。オーストラリアは日本語を学んでいるクラスの生徒で、流ちょうな日本語での発表に皆驚いていました。

オーストラリアの国民食ともいえるベジマイトの試食、全員でクイズをするなどして各国の食文化や食の歴史についても理解を深めることができたようです。

November 28, 2024, International exchange classe was held with Korea Horseman High School and James Ruse Agricultural High School in Australia. 31 students from our school, 27 from Australia, and 7 from Korea, participated in this class

Each school gave a presentation on their country's preserved foods (fermented foods) in English, followed by a question and answer session. The Australian students were from a class studying Japanese, and everyone was surprised at their fluent presentations in Japanese.

During the presentation, the students tasted Vegemite, Australia's soul food, and took a quiz to deepen their understanding of each country's food culture and food history.

2024年10月29日（火曜日）から、フランスのヴェルジェ（農業）高校の教員２名が本校を訪問しています。

この事業は農林水産省の日仏農業教育連携事業の一環として行われ、同校から２名の留学生を受け入れています。英語の特別授業では日仏の農業の違いや、同じ農業高校で学ぶ生徒たちの様子を知ることができ、世界につながっている農業を実感することができました。

Two teachers from Lycee les Vergers, one of our partner schools, in France have been visiting our school since Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

This program is part of the Japan-France Agricultural Education Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, and we had hosted two French students from their school.

In a special English class, the students learned about the differences between Japanese and French agriculture and French agriculture student's life.  Our students learn not just agriculture but the rest of the world through agriculture.

2024年6月28日（金曜日）、オーストラリア・シドニーにあるJames Ruse 農業高校の生徒の皆さんとオンライン交流を行いました。オンラインのライブで交流するのは初めて・・・うまくいくかなぁ、との心配をよそに授業が始まると自己紹介やゲーム、質問をし合ううちに打ち解けていました。授業が終わった後、休み時間にまだ話している生徒も。７６００キロ以上離れた外国で農業を学んでいる同世代の若者たちと親睦を深め、距離さえ感じなくなりました。また再会することを約束してあっという間の５０分でした！

On Friday, June 28, 2024, we held an online exchange with students from James Ruse Agricultural High School in Sydney, Australia. This was the first time for the students to interact live online...Despite our concerns whether it would go well, once the class started, the students got to know each other as they introduced themselves, played games, and asked each other questions. Some of the students were still talking to each other during break time after class.  We were able to make friendships that were so close that it was hard to believe that we were more than 7,600 kilometers away from each other.

2024年6月18日～１か月間　アメリカ・ケンタッキー大学の学生がインターンシップで本校に滞在します。

このプログラムは新ひだか町と姉妹都市のアメリカ・ケンタッキー州のレキシントン市との交流事業の一環として実施されます。

英語の授業はもとより、農業高校でしか学ぶことのできない様々な実習や課外活動を通して生徒たちと交流も行う予定です。

Beginning June 18, 2024, two students from the University of Kentucky will work for a month as intern teachers.

This is a part of the sister city exchange program between Shinhidaka and Lexington, Kentucky.

Our students and they are ready to get to know each other.

2024年5月22日、Globe-Up! Club（グローブアップクラブ）は様々な文化の国との交流を深め、互いに学びあうことで、静内農業高校が新ひだか町の国際交流の要となり、もっと素敵な活気のある町づくりに貢献することを目標に設立されました。

設立を記念して第１回の交流を行いました。

The Globe-Up! Club was established with the goal of deepening exchanges with countries of various cultures and learning from each other so that Shizunai Agricultural High School can become a keystone of international exchange in the town of Shinhidaka and contribute to the creation of a more wonderful and vibrant town.

The first exchange was held on May 22, 2024 to commemorate the kick off of our club.

2023年7月16日から8月1日まで、第35回AIG高校生外交官渡米プログラムに本校生産科学科２年生徒が参加しました。

高校生外交官プログラムは日米双方の高校生が様々な交流を通して異文化を学び、将来の国際的リーダーを育成することを目的としています。全国から選抜された20名の高校生がワシントンD.C.でホワイトハウスの見学、米国務省を訪れ外交官の仕事を学んだほか、IMF、US Capitol、アーリントン国立墓地などを訪問しました。また、ヴァージニア大学で米国の高校生と10日間共同で生活し、日米文化について発表や「多様性社会への理解と取り組み」、「国家の安全と国際平和への課題」、「選挙と若者の政治参加」などのテーマについて議論しました。

北海道教育委員会教育長への報告の様子は、北海道教育委員会「がんばる生徒さわやかリポート推進事業」でご覧いただけます。

From July 16 to August 1, 2023, second-year students of the Production Science Department of our school participated in the 35th AIG High School Diplomat to the United States Program.

The High School Diplomat Program is designed to help high school students from both Japan and the U.S. learn about different cultures through various exchanges and to develop future international leaders. The 20 high school students selected from all over Japan visited the White House in Washington D.C., the U.S. Department of State to learn about the work of diplomats, and also visited the IMF, the US Capitol, and Arlington National Cemetery. They also spent 10 days living together with U.S. high school students at the University of Virginia, where they gave presentations on Japanese and U.S. culture and discussed such topics as "Understanding and Addressing a Diverse Society," "Challenges to National Security and International Peace," and "Elections and Young People's Political Participation."

2023年7月22日から8月14日まで、新ひだか町の姉妹都市交流事業に本校生徒1名が参加しました。
ケンタッキー大学付属語学学校で英語を学んだほか、アメリカの文化や歴史を色々な形で体感してきました。

From July 22 to August 14, 2023, one of our students participated in a sister city exchange program in Lexington, Kentucky USA.  Our town and Lexington have been a sister city since 1988.

In addition to learning English at the University of Kentucky ESL, they experienced American culture and history in various ways.

2023年6月26日（月）英語科特別講演として、ハーバード大学の今井耕介教授とクリスティーナ・デイヴィス教授を
お招きし、講演会を開催しました。

On Monday, June 26, 2023, we invited Professor Kosuke Imai and Professor Christina Davis of Harvard University to give a special workshop.

2023年6月26日から2週間、米国マサチューセッツ州の高校に在学中の生徒が本校の生産科学科に留学、授業や実習、部活動を通じて国際交流を行いました。静内農業高校は農業を通した国際交流にも力を入れています。

2022年12月14日（水）農林水産省の日仏農業教育連携フランス訪問プロジェクトに本校生徒３名が選ばれました。
2023年２月７日～11日までの間、フランス第二の都市リヨンを訪問し現地の農業高校訪問やボジョレー地区のワイナリー・農場見学、ホームステイなどを通じて日仏両国で農業を学ぶ生徒同士の交流を深め、国際感覚を備えた人材の育成を目指すプログラムです。フランス訪問中はリヨン美食館において日本食の普及イベントと食育セミナーも予定されています。訪問する３名の皆さんには日仏のさらなる架け橋として活躍してくれることを期待しています。Bon voyage!!

2023年2月11日（土）フランス訪問プロジェクトから帰国しました。日仏両国の農業と食の文化の交流を行い、ホームステイを通して友情も育むことができました。

On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, three of our students were selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan to participate in the France-Japan Agricultural Education Cooperation Project.
The program aims to deepen exchanges between students studying agriculture in France and Japan through visits to local agricultural high schools, wineries and farms in the Beaujolais region, and homestays, and to develop internationally-minded human resources. During their visit to France, they are also scheduled to participate in a Japanese food promotion event and a nutrition education seminar at the Lyon Gastronomy Museum. We hope that the three students will play an active role as a bridge between Japan and France.

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, we returned from our project to visit France. We were able to exchange agricultural and food culture between Japan and France, and also nurtured friendships through homestays.

2023年1月30日（月）農林水産省の日仏農業教育連携フランス訪問プロジェクトへ向けた学習会が盛り上がっています！
今日は昨年６月に本校に留学した２人のフランス人生徒を招待し、フランスとオンラインで接続した特別授業を実施しました。フランスのことやフランス語も学び、一足先にフランスの雰囲気を感じることができました。

2022年6月27日（月）から７月3日（日）まで、フランス・ヴェルジェ高校からの留学生が本校を訪問し、交流を行いました。（記事中の写真において、マスクは撮影時のみ外しています）
